What the Research Says

Evidence from Life Proving/Disproving

Gets along well with those older or younger (but not the same age)
While I admit that I do hang out with people my age, I tend to get along better with people older or younger than me. For example, I know quite a few upperclassmen who tolerated my presence back when I was a freshman. Apparently it was because I tend to be serious and I was more mature than the average freshman. I still am a mature person.

Well-organized
I may have a three-ring binder with dividers for every subject (except P.E. because I don’t think we need paperwork in that class), but I am not well-organized. I am usually in a hurry to leave one class because I don’t want to be late for the next one, so I don’t bother putting class papers in their proper place.
Self-centered
I completely disagree with this. Just because I am an “only child” doesn't mean that all I think about is ”me, me, me”. Self-centered people are always talking about themselves and I find that really annoying. I am not like that at all. In fact, it’s the other way around; I HATE talking about myself. I will only do it if I absolutely have to.
Serious
I sometimes joke around with my friends, but 95% of the time I am a very serious person. I am always quiet in class. I mean, I talk to people I know there, but only for purposes related to the assignment being done in class. Of course, sometimes I’ll be talking about something that’s not about school, but I’ll only do it when it’s not disruptive.

Typical careers include accounting and computer science
Accounting…sounds kind of boring. I’m good at math and all, but I do not want to bear the burden of systematically recording and managing financial accounts. I don’t think I can handle that kind of responsibility. And as for computer science…uh, no thank you. I don’t want to study “the technology and the principles of computers” for a living. Actually, the career I want does involve computers, though. The irony. My desired career is being an animator; I’ll be doing the drawings and bringing them to life (not literally).
